DRAFT FOR REVIEW

Terms of Service

Preliminary version · August 1, 2026

Active preliminary version

This version governs initial access while the operator’s legal identity, jurisdiction, notice address, support contact and professional review are completed. Material changes will be published under a new version and require renewed acceptance.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms govern access to PloyDB Cloud and its related control-plane services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to the version presented during registration.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and authorized to act for any organization you create or join.

2. Service and Preview features

PloyDB provides tools to connect, provision, operate, observe, back up, restore and administer PostgreSQL resources. Available capabilities depend on the selected deployment mode and the authority granted to your account.

Features, capacity classes, allowances and commercial plans marked Preview are under evaluation. Preview labels are not a promise of price, capacity, availability or a future release date.

3. Accounts, organizations and security

You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting passwords and recovery codes, maintaining access to your verified email and reviewing active sessions. Owners and administrators must use multi-factor authentication.

Organization owners control membership and roles. You must promptly revoke access that is no longer authorized and notify PloyDB of suspected compromise.

4. Customer infrastructure and data

When using customer-supplied servers, you remain responsible for the server, provider account, network, operating-system access, lawful data processing and adequate independent recovery measures. PloyDB performs only the operations you authorize through the product.

You retain ownership of your databases, credentials, application content and other customer data. You grant PloyDB only the limited rights required to provide, secure and support the service.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use PloyDB to violate law or third-party rights; distribute malware; gain unauthorized access; interfere with the service; evade security or usage controls; conduct abusive automated activity; or operate workloads that create unreasonable risk to other customers or the platform.

PloyDB may restrict an operation or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect customers, infrastructure or the integrity of the service.

6. Third-party providers

The service may interact with infrastructure, email, identity, payment or other providers. Their services are governed by their own terms. PloyDB is not responsible for outages or changes outside its reasonable control, but will preserve operational evidence and safe recovery paths where the product supports them.

7. Free access, fees and changes

Creating a free account does not require a payment card. No paid plan, price or allowance becomes binding while the commercial catalog remains Preview.

Before activating a paid service, PloyDB will present the applicable price, billing period, included limits, taxes and cancellation conditions for explicit acceptance. Material changes will apply prospectively with reasonable notice where required.

8. Availability, backups and warranties

Unless a separate written service level agreement applies, PloyDB is provided on an as-available basis. Maintenance, provider failures and security events may temporarily affect access.

Backups and recovery features reduce risk but do not replace your responsibility to maintain recovery measures appropriate to your workload. To the extent permitted by law, implied warranties are excluded.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. Account or organization deletion may require additional confirmation and may be subject to retention required for security, audit, billing or legal obligations.

PloyDB may suspend or terminate access for material breach, unlawful activity, security risk or non-payment after any applicable notice and cure period. Where reasonably possible, data export and safe recovery operations remain independent from commercial restrictions.

10. Liability

Neither party excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. The final liability cap, governing law, dispute forum, operator identity and mandatory consumer rights must be completed and reviewed for the jurisdictions where PloyDB will be offered before these Terms are published for acceptance.

11. Notices and contact

PloyDB may send operational, security and legal notices to your verified account email. The final legal notice address, support address and operator details must be inserted before public registration is enabled.

This document is a product draft and does not replace legal advice.
